Question: What is SpyderBar, and what can SpyderBar do for me?
SpyderBar is a desktop utility that simplifies daily computer activities such as reading
e-mail or internet news.

Question: What advantages does SpyderBar offer?
SpyderBar is highly responsive, intuitive, and skinnable. Although feature packed, it remains lightweight with
an executable size of just 1 MB. It is the ONLY user interface of its kind (more on this below). You can dock,
undock, and even throw around panels.
Question: How skinnable?
Everything in SpyderBar, other than common window dialogs, is skinnable. This includes menus, tooltips,
backgrounds, and every button. SpyderBar uses multi-layered translucency rather than single-layered
windows transparency.
Question: What is the difference between transparency and translucency?
With window transparency, every pixel on the entire window is dimmed by the same percentage.
This means that text is also dimmed, making it hard to read.
With window translucency, every pixel on the entire window can be individually adjusted to be completely opaque or
completely see-through. This allows the background to be professionally blended, while the text remains readable.
Question: Is there ever a reason why I might want to turn translucency off?
If you have an older graphics card, turning off translucency might give you a noticeable performance increase.
Since Windows 98 and Me do not support translucency natively, SpyderBar emulates it.
Question: What operating systems does SpyderBar support?
SpyderBar supports Windows XP, Server 2003, Windows 2000, Windows 98, and Windows Me.
